2 teens wounded in multiple shootings at Bridgeport, CT house party

A house party in Bridgeport, Conn. turned violent Friday night, leaving one teenager critically injured and another hospitalized after three separate shooting incidents.

The first occurred around 10:25 p.m., when dispatchers received word that over 20 rounds were fired in the 300 block of Bunnell Street, reported NBC Connecticut.

ShotSpotter notifications were later recorded about 20 minutes later, just two blocks from Bunnell Street, and another shooting followed on Deacon Street, about a block away from the initial location.

Upon arrival, officers encountered a large crowd and discovered a 15-year-old male suffering a gunshot wound on the front porch of a home on the 200 block of Deacon Street. He was transported to a local hospital and is currently in critical condition.

As officers secured the scene on Deacon Street, reports came in that a 16-year-old had arrived at another hospital with a non-life-threatening gunshot wound to the foot.

Investigators believe the 16-year-old was shot while attending a sizable house party which was taking place on the 300 block of Bunnell Street.

The detective bureau has taken over the investigation and is now pinpointing crime scenes on Bunnell, Deacon, Holly and Sixth streets.
